The year is 2158 and in Plasticville, everything is fine; perfect even. Unlike the rest of the world.
You see, after the Great Divisive Wars of last century, this town was started as a refuge. The Plastic Ones escaped just before the rest of the world destroyed itself. They created Plasticville as an oasis. No arguing neighbors, no over expressive teenagers, no offensive music, no dissent from individualistic thinking. Harmony is the way of the land.
In fact, they’re just coming up to their 100th anniversary as a town, and will be celebrating with family fun at “The Celebration”.
But under the surface, the cracks are beginning to form. Glitches in the system.
Season One is an immersive story with regular drops. There are 13 chapters and each chapter is told from a different character’s perspective. Collectively, they form vignettes of Plasticville. The story will be released publicly on our website and as an audio story on our podcast channel. Simultaneously, the main character of that week will be available as an NFT.
From the design lead that brought you the Saga, the core Solana brand itself, Breakpoint, Solana Pay, and even helped launch Metaplex. Josh Taylor is here to stay.
The Plastic Ones is an experiment in so many things. We’re experimenting with new ways to tell stories, new NFT mechanics, and with AI. In particular, Josh is exploring how creative directors can work with AI to build new worlds that would have never been previously possible. Some explorations are fully manual, and others are very much driven by AI. This designer/AI collaboration is an experiment for our future and one that will continue to evolve.
